The story of the farm
The idea of Mission House started when Penelope and John Jardine lived in a tiny flat in London in the 90s, imagining a farm in the Midlands where they could raise their family, enjoy wide open views, and make things by hand. Their dream took shape when they found a beautiful piece of land on the Currys Post Road in 2003.
After starting as little more than a rundown shed in the middle of a mielie field, the property has evolved organically into a welcoming accommodation and event venue. More than just a place to stay, Mission House offers a warm and distinctive Midlands experience shaped by handcrafted finishes, original art, handmade furniture, and carefully collected treasures which reflect the personalities and travels of its hosts.
